Woodland Hospital has obtained tax exemption Certificate issued by the O/o The Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Shillong vide  F.No T-6/CCIT/SHG/TECH/2016-17/01-30  Dated 3^rd April 2017 (Under sub-clause (b) of clause (ii) of the proviso to clause (viii) of sub-section (2) of Section 17 of the Income Tax Act, 1961 read with Rule 3A of the Income Tax Rules,1962) for the purpose of medical treatment of the diseases or ailments mentioned in Rule 3A (2) of the IT Rules 1962.

Any sum paid by an employer to Woodland Hospital, Dhankheti, Shillong, Meghalaya for the purpose of medical treatment of the diseases or ailments mentioned in Rule 3A (2) of the IT Rules 1962 of any employee or any member of the employee’s family shall not be treated as perquisite for the purpose of section 15, 16 & 17 of the Income Tax Act, 1961 and such sum shall be exempt from Income Tax in the hands of the employee.
